Scrolls Junior is the follow-up to the sell-out Scrolls book, our collaboration with the legendary Japanese master Horiyoshi III. Containing all 45 of the hanging scroll paintings from the original book, many of which have never been published before. Scrolls Junior comes in the portable 14 x 38 cm format.

Both Scrolls books are a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship of the Japanese master. And provide lovers of Japanese art the opportunity to get an up-close look at work he’s spent a lifetime developing and perfecting.

The 45 scrolls were curated by Horiyoshi III himself, and include a personal explanation in Japanese with English translations. The book contains a foreword by renowned author and Japanese art expert Inge Klompmakers.

Our ambition with Scrolls Junior is to make the work of Horiyoshi III available in this high-quality accessible book so his works can be studied and appreciated by Japanese art enthusiasts and students alike.
