Mick Tattoo

I was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland. Apprenticed as a scenographic painter at the Zurich opera house I discovered a strong interest in tattooing and especially in the Japanese style of tattooing.

After attending the 1st Swiss tattoo convention in 1986 in Zurich I really wanted to be a tattooist. After I experimented on some of my brave friends, I got some serious support on becoming a professional tattooer from Marco Leoni and his crew in Brasil.

Getting tattooed by artists, whose work I admired taught me a lot over many years and I was lucky to meet the Leu family, Luke Atkinson, Horiyoshi 3, Bob Roberts and many other great tattooers whose work has helped me doing what I like doing today.

In the year 2013 I moved from Zurich to Rehetobel, Appenzell where I am happy to continue tattooing and painting.
